Tudor Watch Releases Watches and Wonders 2025

Following on from their sister brand Rolex Tudor have announced their releases for 2025 at Watches & Wonders in Geneva. As expected, it’s a suite of new Black Bay models and sporty divers. There’s a new 43mm model called the Black Bay 68, fresh dials for the BB 58, Pro and Chrono as well as Tudor’s first 1000m diver in the form of the Pelagos Ultra 1000m. Let’s get into Tudor’s releases for 2025.

Black Bay 68

Tudor have released a new, bigger edition of the Black Bay called the 68. It measures 43mm in diameter in stainless steel with a uni-directional rotating dive timer bezel. 1968 was an important year in Tudor’s heritage as it was when they developed the now iconic Snowflake hands that debuted in 1969 – though Tudor evidently want to avoid calling a watch the BB 69 for internet reasons. It’s interesting to see a brand embrace larger dimensions in 2025 when the prevailing zeitgeist has been for smaller, vintage proportions. Is this the first sign of things trending back towards the large? Probably not…

Inside is the Master Chronometer movement Manufacture Calibre MT5601-U with a silicon hairspring and a 70-hour power reserve. It’s a classy 3-hand model with an accuracy of 0/+5 seconds per day.

Pelagos Ultra 1000m

The new Pelagos Ultra has the distinction of being the first Tudor to achieve a 1,000m water resistance rating, putting it in the big leagues alongside watches like the Rolex Deepsea and Omega Ploprof. It features a new case made from lightweight, durable titanium measuring 43mm in diameter (evidently a popular size at Tudor this year). It’s interesting that they’ve chosen grade 2 titanium rather than the more hardwearing grade 5, especially for a saturation diver.

Aesthetically it remains strongly linked to Pelagoses of past years though with the addition of a date window at 3 o’clock. Personally, I think it would look much cleaner without that particular feature – though when you’re spending days at a time under water during a saturation dive, having a days indicator probably helps maintain your sanity. Below the dial is the Master Chronometer MT5612-U.

Black Bay 58 Burgundy

Tudor have introduced a new dial colour to the Black Bay 58 collection in the form of the new Burgundy series. It features the warm red colour across the dial and rotating dive timer bezel and is a sort of spiritual successor to 2023’s burgundy bezel Black Bay, though taking the concept a step further. It’s more than a simple dial recolour though as it also houses a Master Chronometer movement, the MT5400-U, making it the first standard BB 58 to feature the certification (there is a Master Chronometer BB 58 GMT already).

Black Bay Pro

Tudor aren’t going to escape the reputation of being Rolex’s little sister with releases like the new Black Bay Pro with opaline white dial. The comparisons to the Rolex Explorer Polar are unavoidable with its ultra-legibile white dial, GMT complication and fixed steel bezel. Regardless of the similarities, it is a very handsome watch and houses the COSC MT5652, which is the first movement in all of Tudor’s 2025 releases not to also be Master Chronometer certified. I actually think it goes to show how committed Tudor are to adopting the certification that it’s now remarkable for their watches not to be certified.

Black Bay Chrono

To celebrate 50 years of producing chronographs, Tudor have redesigned the case of the Black Bay Chrono. It measures 41mm in diameter in steel with gently curving lugs and a combination of brushed and polished finishing. It can now be fitted with a choice of 3-link bracelet or 5-link. Style-wise, it features some of the most iconic chronograph colourways ever produced, the panda and reverse panda. It’s a really attractive look, especially combined with the black aluminium, tachymeter bezel.
