Description
The Seiko Prospex Heritage Turtle 1968 Black Re-Interpretation Watch SPB315J1 combines a 41mm round-shaped stainless steel case with a super hard coating and a silver stainless steel bracelet with a fold-over clasp. It has a black analogue dial with Lumibrite luminescent hands, indexes and the bezel. The date is visible between positions four and five with a circular window, protected beneath scratch-resistant curved sapphire crystal glass. Power is generated by the automatic and manual winding movement with an approximate power reserve of 70 hours. This model also has a water resistance of up to 200 metres. This watch shape is nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘turtle’ – its silhouette, side view and watch case back resemble a turtle with its curved comfortable shell. To divers, sea turtles are symbols of good fortune. This design is a modern interpretation of the original 1968 Turtle, featuring an elegant but sporty 5-row bracelet with newly developed compact clasps to match the slim case, while the date window is positioned for legibility, without interference with the indices. Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
