Description
OMEGA introduces a truly stunning timepiece crafted from stainless steel. With their maritime legacy in mind, the brand launched its 2005 released Planet Ocean line, with this edition paying homage to the original and OMEGA’s dive watch heritage. The piece has been equipped with an impressive array of practical and aesthetic features resulting in a highly desirable item, displaying the quality and attention to detail OMEGA are renowned for. Protecting the dial is a scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass dome, with a polished black and orange Liquidmetal® ceramic and rubber bezel framing the dial. The black dial backdrop hosts a combination of Arabic numerals and silver tone batons signifying each hour, as well as a date window as 3 o’clock and a trio of dial hands displaying the current time. Luminescent properties allow easier legibility during low light and the staggering 600 metre water resistance provides another amazing attribute. A patented extendable fold over clasp ensures a safe and reliable fastening method, with the accompanying helium escape valve offering a way to regulate pressure when diving. Powering this magnificent timepiece is the OMEGA Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, which is available for viewing via the transparent case back. In order to achieve its status, the piece has undergone and passed the series of 8 rigorous tests set by The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), resulting in a highly accurate and consistent method of timekeeping. – Case Width: 43mm – Watch Movement: Automatic – Water Resistant: 600 metres – Calibre OMEGA 8900: Self Winding Movement With Co-Axial Escapement.
